Walk in the Park Set for July 23, 24 in Carlton Oregon

Carlton Events, Yamhill County Art Events | July 21, 2011

Carlton, Oregon will host the annual Walk in the Park on Saturday, July 23 and Sunday, July 24.  The anticipated event benefits local area charities.  It will be held in Wennerberg Park, a beautiful setting circled by oak trees along the North Yamhill River.

Among the artists/studios on hand will be Art Glass by Dianne; Doug Roy, papercarver; Karen Wright, jewelry; Terry Peasley Studio and Tin Man.  Last summer’s event hosted 65 artists and this year’s Walk will be bigger and better, according to organizers.

There will be entertainment throughout the weekend with some of the top muscians from the northwest appearing on the stage.  An antique car show will be held in an area adjacent to the art exhibits, and a quilt show can be viewed at the entrance to the park.

Food from 15 top area restaurants will be available for purchase; wine from Yamhill-Carlton area wineries will be available by the glass, bottle or case.

Walk in the Park is an exciting opportunity to see a wide variety of beautiful art by some of the most accomplished artists in the country.
